Breakdown recovery means one thing: we collect a vehicle that won’t drive and take it somewhere a garage can fix it or you can keep it. Here’s what that includes when you call us, and what it doesn’t.
What you get
- A price and an arrival time on the phone, before you book anything.
- A flatbed truck and a driver who comes to you, day or night.
- Careful loading. If the car won’t start or won’t roll, we use a winch and wheel skates.
- Your vehicle strapped down and carried with all its wheels off the road.
- Delivery to your garage, your home or any address you choose.
- Insurance. We hold public liability cover, and vehicle-in-transit cover protects your vehicle while it’s on our truck.
How breakdown recovery works when you call
- You call and tell us where you are, what’s happened and where the vehicle needs to go.
- Then we give you one price and an honest arrival time.
- After that, we come to you, load the vehicle and strap it down.
- Finally, we deliver it where you asked.
What we don’t include
We’re a recovery company, not mobile mechanics. We don’t repair engines, fit tyres or deliver fuel. The one thing we do fix at the roadside is a flat battery, with a jump start. For anything else, we take the vehicle to someone who can repair it.
What can change the price
- Distance: how far we travel to you, and how far the vehicle is going.
- The vehicle: a van costs more than a small hatchback.
- The time: nights, weekends and bank holidays cost more.
- Extra equipment for locked wheels, accident damage or a car that’s off the road.
- Awkward access, such as a multi-storey car park or soft ground.
