These terms explain the vehicle recovery services provided directly by Ozzy’s Breakdown Recovery, how a booking is accepted, how payment works and how to contact us about a concern. Our own recovery driver carries out accepted jobs using our truck and equipment. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Who you are booking with
Ozzy’s Breakdown Recovery is the trading name of Ozzy’s Breakdown Recovery Ltd, company number 16951604. Our registered office is 37 Radstock Road, Reading, England, RG1 3PS. We travel to customers’ vehicles; please contact us to arrange assistance rather than bringing a vehicle to this address.
Telephone: 07778 348703
Email: contact@ozzysbreakdownrecovery.co.uk. The same contact details can be used for service queries, cancellations, payment questions and complaints.
Service terms and booking confirmation
We provide vehicle recovery and towing, accident recovery and roadside jump-start assistance. We do not provide HGV recovery or general mechanical repairs. The work we accept depends on the vehicle, its actual weight and load, its condition, the pickup and destination, access, suitable equipment and availability.
Book recovery and Get a quote on this website prepare an enquiry for you to review and send on WhatsApp. Submitting an enquiry, choosing a date or sharing a location does not reserve a vehicle or confirm a booking. We confirm the job, price, availability and any payment required with you separately. A booking is accepted when we confirm it to you and you accept the agreed details.
Tell us your name, contact number, vehicle registration and type, known faults or damage, pickup and destination, and preferred date. Explain anything that affects access or recovery, including whether the vehicle rolls or steers, whether the keys are available and whether there is accident or battery damage. You must be the owner or authorised to arrange the movement of the vehicle.
Arrival times are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise. Traffic, road closures, weather and the circumstances of an earlier job can affect arrival. We will discuss material changes with you. If the job cannot safely proceed as described, we will explain the issue and discuss an appropriate alternative.
Recovery or transport is to the destination agreed for that job. Repairs, storage, additional stops and further transport are only included if expressly agreed. A recovery booking is not a breakdown-cover subscription.
Payment terms
Your agreed job price
Website “from” prices are starting prices, not a final price for every job. We confirm the amount payable in pounds sterling before you accept the job, including applicable taxes and any agreed extras. The quote is based on the vehicle, locations, condition, access and work described.
If those details remain as agreed, we do not add charges for work already included in the quote. If the scope or vehicle information changes, we explain any revised price and obtain your agreement before undertaking additional chargeable work.
Extra equipment is charged separately, per item used. Any equipment charge is explained and agreed before that additional work. Extra charges can apply at night, at weekends and on bank holidays; we confirm any that apply to your job with the quote.
When payment is due
We may request an upfront call-out payment after confirming the job. It is part-payment towards the agreed job price, not a second charge on top of that price. We tell you the amount required, when it is due and when the remaining balance must be paid. Any other payment arrangement must be agreed with us.
Payments already made are deducted from the agreed job price. Sending an enquiry does not itself take a payment. If a payment request is unclear, contact us before paying.
How to pay
- Bank transfer: our preferred method. We provide the payment details directly for your job.
- Debit or credit card: through the private payment link supplied for your job.
- Klarna or Clearpay: available for eligible payments covering the full agreed job price when offered on your payment link, subject to provider approval and terms.
Use only payment details or a payment link that you can verify with us. Never send card security codes, banking passwords or one-time banking codes by WhatsApp or email. A payment-provider approval does not replace our acceptance of the recovery job.
Any business-account invoice terms apply only where separately agreed in writing; consumer bookings do not automatically include a credit account.
Cancellations and refunds
For urgent changes or cancellation, call 07778 348703. You can also email or send a clear WhatsApp message. Include your name, registration, pickup details and any booking reference. You do not need to use a particular form to tell us you want to cancel.
An enquiry that we have not accepted can be withdrawn without a cancellation charge. After acceptance, any amount payable or retained following cancellation must be fair, explained and consistent with your statutory rights. We do not treat every advance payment as automatically non-refundable.
Where a statutory cancellation right applies to a remotely agreed service, you normally have 14 days starting the day after the contract is made. If you expressly ask us to start during that period, and we have supplied the required information, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for service actually provided before cancellation. The right to cancel a fully performed service ends only where the applicable legal requirements have been met, including the necessary request and acknowledgement.
Some dated transport-of-goods contracts can fall within an exception to the statutory cancellation period. We will explain any applicable exception before you accept the job. We do not assume every vehicle recovery is exempt merely because it is urgent, and an exception does not remove your rights if the service is not performed with reasonable care and skill.
Outside a statutory cancellation right, any agreed cancellation charge must be reasonable and reflect the direct loss caused, taking account of costs saved and steps to reduce the loss. We will explain the calculation. No fixed cancellation amount is introduced by this page.
If we cannot provide an accepted job and you do not agree to an alternative, we refund payments for the unprovided service. If a service is not provided as agreed or with reasonable care and skill, your statutory remedies may include repeat performance or an appropriate price reduction.
Refunds that are due are made without undue delay and within any applicable legal deadline. Where the statutory distance-contract cancellation rules require it, this is within 14 days of being informed of cancellation. Approved card or payment-provider refunds go back through the original payment route; your bank or provider may take additional processing time. For a bank-transfer refund, we may need to verify the account details securely.

Complaints and service concerns
If something has gone wrong, contact us using the phone number, email or postal address above. Give your name, job date, registration, reference if available, a description of the problem and the outcome you are seeking. Relevant photos or payment records can help; do not send full card or bank security details.
We will review the job information, discuss the issue with you and explain our response. If more information is needed, we will tell you. Raising a concern does not remove any consumer right or prevent you from seeking independent advice.
Your rights and these terms
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Reporting a concern promptly helps us investigate but does not impose an artificial deadline on your legal rights.
The terms supplied when your job is agreed apply to that booking. Later website changes do not retrospectively change an accepted job. Please ask for a copy of your agreed job details and terms that you can retain.
