Damaged cars often can’t be driven or even rolled. That’s fine. We use a winch and wheel skates to load them without causing more damage, then take the car to your home, your garage, a bodyshop or wherever your insurer asks.

What to do straight after an accident
- Stop, switch on your hazard lights, then check that everyone is all right.
- If anyone is hurt or the road is blocked, call 999.
- Swap names, addresses, registration numbers and insurance details with the other driver.
- If it’s safe, also take photos of the scene and the damage.
- Tell your insurer what has happened as soon as you can.
- Call us to move the car.
If the police are at the scene
When the police are dealing with an accident, they sometimes arrange the recovery themselves, and we can’t override that. If they say you can arrange your own recovery, or once the car has been released, call us and we’ll take it where you want.

Can you recover a car that can’t be rolled?
Yes, we use a winch and wheel skates to move cars with damaged wheels, suspension or steering onto the truck.
Can you take the car to a bodyshop or my insurer’s repairer?
Yes, give us the address and we’ll deliver it there. If you’re not sure yet, we can take it home so you can decide later.
Do you come out at night?
Yes, we’re open 24 hours a day. Night, weekend and bank holiday jobs carry an extra charge, which we’ll include in the price we give you.
How much does accident recovery cost?
It starts from £150. The full price depends on the distance and the condition of the car, so call for a free quote. Nights, weekends and bank holidays cost more, and that’s always included in the price we give you before you book.
Will my insurer pay for the recovery?
Many policies cover recovery after an accident, but it depends on yours. Ask your insurer, and tell us if they want the car taken somewhere in particular.
Can you recover a car that’s off the road or in a ditch?
