What is pay as you go home start and flat battery cover?
Home start means help when your car won’t start at or near home. With pay as you go there’s no membership and no yearly fee. You call, we give you the price, we come and jump-start it and you pay for that job only.
Is it an insurance policy?
No. It isn’t an insurance policy or a membership. It’s a one-off service that you pay for each time you use it.
Is it cheaper than monthly breakdown cover?
Usually, yes. With monthly or yearly cover you pay whether you break down or not. With pay as you go you pay nothing until you need us, so if you rarely break down it usually works out cheaper.
How much does it cost?
Jump starts and roadside help start from £60. If the vehicle needs recovering, that starts from £75. You get the full price before we come out.
Do you come to my home?
Yes. At home, at work, in a car park or at the roadside.
What if the jump start doesn’t work?
Then we can load the vehicle and take it to a garage, your home or anywhere in the UK, and you get a free quote first.
Can you jump-start a van?
Yes. We carry both 12V and 24V equipment for cars and vans.
How do I pay?
By card or bank transfer. The call-out or booking fee is paid up front by bank transfer or through our secure payment link, and you pay the rest on our card machine when we’re with you. For your security, we never take card details over the phone and we never store them.
