Prices
What are your starting prices?
Our call-out prices start from £75 for a small hatchback, £85 for a medium car, £95 for an SUV or larger car and £110 for a van. Accident recovery starts from £150, and roadside help such as a jump start call-out from £60. These are starting prices. The distance, the vehicle and the access all affect the total, and you get a free quote with the full price before you book. See the full list of recovery prices.
How much does motorway recovery cost?
Motorway recovery starts from £150. The full price depends on your vehicle, where you are and where it’s going, so call for a free quote. We’ll confirm it before we set off.
Do nights and weekends cost more?
Yes, night, weekend and bank holiday jobs carry an extra charge. It’s always included in the price we give you, so you know the full cost before you book.
Are there any other extras?
If a job needs extra equipment, that’s charged per item used. We’ll explain what’s needed, then include it in your price up front.
Why might my price be higher than the starting price?
A starting price is for a short, simple job, so yours may be different. A longer journey, a heavier vehicle, difficult access or a car that won’t roll all add to the work. You’ll always have the full figure before you say yes.
Getting help
How do I get help quickly?
Call 07778 348703. We answer 24 hours a day, so call when you need us. Tell us where you are, what you’re driving and where it needs to go, then we’ll give you a price and an arrival time on the same call.
How quickly can you reach me?
In Reading and close by, usually in about 30–45 minutes. That’s an estimate, not a guarantee, because traffic and the jobs we’re on affect it. Wherever you’ve broken down, call as soon as it’s safe and you’ll get your free quote and arrival time straight away.
Do I need breakdown cover?
No, there’s no membership to buy. You call, you get a free quote, then you pay for that job only.
Who will actually come out?
We will. Ozzy’s Breakdown Recovery comes out to you with the right truck and equipment. We don’t pass your job on to anyone else.
Can I get a price without calling?
Yes, if it isn’t urgent. Press Get a quote, then fill in the details. It prepares a WhatsApp message for you to check and send, then we reply with a price. In an emergency, please call.
Can I send you my exact location?
Yes, press Share location to send a map pin, or type a postcode or a landmark. You see the message before it’s sent on WhatsApp.
What we recover and where
What vehicles do you recover?
Cars, motorbikes, electric vehicles and vans or light commercials up to 3.5 tonnes. For vans, we check the weight and the load with you before we set off.
Can you move a vehicle that won’t roll?
Yes, we use a winch and wheel skates to load vehicles that are stuck or have locked or damaged wheels.
Can you fix my vehicle at the roadside?
We do jump starts and recovery, but not repairs. If your vehicle needs a mechanical repair, we’ll take it to the garage of your choice.
Can you take my vehicle to my own garage?
Yes, we’ll take it anywhere in the UK – your garage, your home or any other address you choose – and you get a free quote for the journey first.

Insurance and payment
Are you insured?
Yes, we hold public liability insurance and vehicle-in-transit cover. You can read more about us.
How can I pay?
By bank transfer or card. The call-out or booking fee is paid up front by bank transfer or through our secure payment link, and you pay the rest on our card machine when we’re with you. For your security, we never take card details over the phone and we never store them. Bank transfer is our preferred option.
Can I use Klarna or Clearpay?
They may be offered on your private payment link for eligible payments covering the full agreed price. Availability is subject to the provider’s approval and terms.
