What you’re looking at
Low cars go up a shallow ramp so nothing scrapes. We winch on cars that won’t roll, with skates under the wheels if they lock. We also carry motorbikes, electric vehicles and vans up to 3.5 tonnes.

How we load the vehicles in our gallery
Every photo in this gallery is a real job, so what you see is what you get. If a vehicle rolls, we winch it slowly up the ramp. If it won’t roll, we put skates under the wheels, then winch it on so we don’t damage anything. Low and sports cars go up a shallow ramp, because a steep one can catch the bumper. After that, we strap every vehicle down at the wheels before we set off.
Motorbikes travel upright with straps at several points, so they can’t tip. Electric vehicles travel with all four wheels off the road, because towing them can damage the motors.
